Story Of Professor Who Fails His Entire Class To Show Socialism Doesn't Work Has People Furious

People have been getting angry about this story ever since it went viral.

The story’s author, Wayne Dupree, wrote it in 2013, and says ever since “the left won’t leave it alone.”

“Something about it strikes a chord and they have to lash out at it...” he wrote on Sunday.

As it goes: A class argued that with socialism, “no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.”

The college professor then decided to conduct an experiment: All test grades would be averaged out and the students would receive the same grade.

The first test scores averaged out to a B, leaving those who studied little satisfied and those who studied hard, upset. The second test average was a D after those who studied little the first time decided to do the same again and those who studied start decided they wanted a free ride.

At the end of the class, all students failed, with no one wanting to study “for the benefit of anyone else.”

Dupree drives his point home by saying there are five great comments you will read on this experiment, one being, “What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.”

Comments have been pouring in from both ends of the spectrum.

One commentator on the Independent Journal Review wrote, “What a silly article. Now only does it not show a reasonable experiment of how socialism works, but it expects the reader to make several unsubstantiated leaps of logic in regard to political realities.”

However, another argued, “The Progressives or what they should be called, Socialist, found out what the professor did was truthful and the do not like that that. What one person who works hard and earns is not cause for another person who is a free loader (Obama supporters) to have the same thing.”

Whether people agree with Dupree or not, his story certainly has many talking.
