Deputies in Anderson County, Texas, were met with a grim sight on Nov. 15 when they came upon six bodies at a campsite.
The victims are apparently related and 33-year-old William Hudson has been arrested on a murder charge, although an additional homicide charges are forthcoming. He is being held on $2.5 million bail and hasn't been cooperating with the investigation.
Hudson isn’t a stranger to law enforcement — in the past few weeks he was allegedly part of an assault call.
Although they haven’t been identified, the victims included five men and one woman.
The murder came to light when a women escaped the property to call 911, Fox 4 News reported.
Two of the bodies were found in trailer and the other four were in a pond. Police suspect the two who were in the trailer were shot, although they declined to specify how the others died.
The lone female survivor was also related to the group and she is believed to have hidden while the alleged murders took place.
Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor told KLTV this was the largest mass murder he’s ever seen.
