Six brothers have been charged with the sexual abuse of their lone sister, who claims the abuse has occurred for more than 12 years.
The six Jackson brothers — Eric, 27, Jon, 25, Matthew, 23, Nathaniel, 21, Benjamin, 19, and Aaron, 18 — were all arrested for charges related to the sexual abuse of their now-16 year old sister.
According to PilotOnline, Eric Jackson came forward about the crimes in 2012 by admitting what he had done to Elder Dan Horn of Hope Baptist Church in Wake Forest, N.C. The family had a home on an isolated road in Perquimans County. Horn suggested Jackson should talk about his crimes to the Sheriff’s Office, where he ultimately went.
“He sinned seriously. It was an evil that needed to be exposed,” Horn said.
The family moved to Colorado as the investigation was unfolding, but the daughter managed to speak with a Child Protective Services officer there.
According to WTKR, all of the brothers are being held on a $150,000 bond, while the parents were released on a $15,000 bond. Charges include statutory rape and sexual assualt on the victim.
