A twice-convicted sex offender reportedly tried to kidnap a 6-year-old girl from a Seattle park, only to be beaten up for his troubles.
Jesse Brisbin, 30, reportedly approached the young girl while she was playing with her siblings at Benefit park and asked her to leave with him.
The girl refused, but Brisbin apparently did not listen.
Brisbin allegedly grabbed the girls hand and dragged her three blocks away from the park, reports The Seattle Times.
The girl broke away from Brisbin’s grasp and ran for safety.
The victim’s father and two of his friends caught up to Brisbin. They tackled him to the ground and proceeded to beat him after he allegedly assaulted one of the men.
The girl’s father made Brisbin call 911 on his own cellphone and report what he had done, reports the New York Daily News.
Brisbin, who goes by the name “Infamous,” is a level 3 sex offender who lives less than half mile from Benefit park. He was wearing a state Department of Corrections (DOC) GPS tracking device on one of his ankles. The DOC claims Brisbin is not currently on home detention, KOMO News reports.
According to police, the girl was not injured in the attempted kidnapping.
Brisbin was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping.
