A Florida woman attempted to use a stolen ID to get money from a bank and then told cops that three black women gave her the ID and forced her to take out the money.
Samantha Ellen Ward went to the restroom of a Boynton Beach, Fla., bank after she tried to use stolen ID to withdraw funds, police said. A Boynton Beach police officer was waiting for her when she came out, according to the Sun Sentinel.
The Inquisitr notes that according to the arrest report, the 24-year-old Ward had shown another woman’s driver’s license and debit card to the bank teller. The teller looked up the account and saw that the license was reported stolen and alerted the police.
Ward, who now faces charges of fraudulent use of personal identification and fraudulent use of a credit card, told police that three black women gave her the stolen ID and forced her to withdraw the money, police said.
Ward pointed to a white Chevy Tahoe in the parking lot and said the women were driving it, but the cops found out the vehicle belonged to an elderly white couple.
