Robert Davis Charged After Stabbing, Beheading Puppies In Georgia

A Georgia man faces two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals after allegedly killing two puppies by beheading one and stabbing another.

The Blaze reports that according to an arrest warrant, Robert Davis used a pair of scissors to cut off the head of a 6-week-old pit bull puppy and stab another in the throat.

A black and white pit bull puppy's neck "was completely severed with the head attached to the body by a single piece of skin," according to the arrest warrant, the South Cobb Patch reported. "The neck was cut in what appeared to be a sawing type motion. The spine of the puppy did not appear to cut by a single cut, but instead by several cuts."

The man who gave Davis the puppies to watch can’t believe what happened.

"We asked his girlfriend to watch them, we've seen him play with dogs before, we didn't think anything like this would happen," Tyler Tedesco stated, according to a story on Tedesco said he heard a rumor from a friend that Davis admitted to beheading the dogs.

Tedesco then went to Davis’ home to make sure the puppies were fine, but when he arrived he said Davis admitted to killing the dogs and then pointed to the area of the backyard where they were buried.

"I started digging but smelled blood, and I couldn't. I stopped. I couldn't dig up my own dogs," Tedesco said.

Davis is reportedly being held at the Cobb County Jail on $250,000 bond and faces up to 13 years in prison. He was also charged with three counts of tampering with evidence.

According to the warrant, "The accused stated that he knew that his acts were wrong."
