Robert Butler Opens Fire at Omaha School; Kills Vice Principal

A high school student opened fire inside his Nebraska school Wednesday, killing the vice principal and wounding the principal before killing himself.

It's still not clear why 17-year-old Robert Butler, Jr. targeted the administrators at Millard High School in Omaha but he left a suicide note on Facebook. His body was found in a car a mile away from the school.

Vice Principal Vicki Kaspar, 58, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at a hospital hours after the shooting. Principal Curtis Case, 45, was listed in stable condition.

Butler, the son of an Omaha police detective, left an expletive-laden message on his Facebook page:

"Everybody that used to know me, I'm sorry but Omaha changed me and f***ed me up. And the school I attend is even worse... you're gonna here about the evil s*** I did but that f***ing school drove me to this. I want you guys to remember me for who I was before this. I greatly affected the lives of the families ruined but I'm sorry. Goodbye."

Butler transferred to the school two months ago. A source said Butler's rampage may have stemmed from him being suspended from the school for allegedly driving his car on the football field.
