'Real World' Star Tonya Cooley Suing MTV Over Toothbrush Rape

Tonya Cooley, who was part of the cast of “The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins”, has filed a lawsuit claiming that her male cast members acting inappropriately, even raping her with a toothbrush.

Cooley is suing MTV, Bunim/Murray Productions, Kenneth Santucci, Evan Starkman and others.

Tonya states that two guys “took another male participant’s toothbrush and rubbed the toothbrush around plaintiff’s genitals, including rubbing her labia and inserting the toothbrush into plaintiff’s vagina”, while she was passed out.

She even claims this was filmed for the reality series.

The lawsuit also states that female cast members were stripped of their bathing suits and that male cast members were encouraged by producers to “inappropriately touch female cast members’ bodies, including in intimate areas.”

Cooley insists she and other cast members reported the sexual abuse, but nothing was done about it.

Tonya said she was kicked off the show for slapping a cast member but that nothing happened to the guys that allegedly raped her with a toothbrush.

She is suing for unspecified damages.

MTV calls Tonya’s accusations “completely baseless."
