Police in Towamencin Township, Pennsylvania, are investigating an incident involving a razor blade found in a candy bar.
According to reports, a young boy got home from trick-or-treating on Friday and discovered a razor blade inside a wrapped candy bar.
“A mother was with her child and saw him open up a piece of candy, and inside was a large razor blade,” said Sergeant John Cutrone. “The wrapping appeared to be sealed. People really need to think about where they trick-or-treat. I mean obviously this was a kid’s neighbor. So, if you can’t trust your neighbor, I’m not sure where you’re going to go with trick-or-treating in the future.”
No injuries were reported, and so far, it appears that this was an isolated incident. Still, police are encouraging parents to check any candy that their children take home after trick-or-treating, and an investigation into the situation continues.
