Britain’s royal family has another upcoming wedding to celebrate after Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter Zara Phillips and her rugby player boyfriend Mike Tindall became engaged.
Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall have been dating since 2003, and announced today that Tindall had proposed at their home on Monday evening.
Phillips, daughter of Anne, Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, accepted the proposal, and the family is said to be delighted with the news.
A statement from Buckingham Palace reads, “The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Zara Phillips to Mr Mike Tindall, son of Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall.”
Zara and Mike’s engagement comes just a month after Prince William announced he will wed Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011.
