Update 12/11: Former mental hospital patient Boneetio Kentro Washington has been charged with 3 counts of murder. Police say he randomly targeted the victim, Eun Kang.
VENICE, Calif. --- A crime doesn't get more horrifying than this. Police say a 39-year-old pregnant woman with twins was raped and murdered Tuesday night in the beachside town of Venice, Calif.
Authorities say Boneetio Kentro Washington, 22, has been arrested and booked for "Murder with Special Circumstances."
The unidentified woman -- who was repeatedly stabbed to death -- was reportedly 18 weeks pregnant with twins. Police will not identify the victim until they have an opportunity to notify her family.
According to an LAPD release: "When Officers entered the house they discovered a 39-year-old female of Asian descent suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead a short time later... Later in the day, it was determined that in fact twin unborn babies had died in the assault.
"Boneetio Kentro Washington, a 22-year-old male Black from Culver City...is being held at Van Nuys Jail without bail."Kentro Washington is reportedly scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
