Prince William and wife Kate Middleton welcomed their baby boy this week, prompting massive global media coverage.
One of the more unusual stories is a new poll that says the British public would be happy if the baby turns out to be gay.
The survey, taken by the LGBT group Stonewall, stated that 83% of the Brits would be comfortable, comfortable or neutral if the boy is gay or bisexual.
"Millions of people will be celebrating today's news, just as millions last week celebrated the news of equal marriage in England and Wales. Happily, since last week every child born in Britain is born into a society where gay people are now equal in law," Ben Summerskill, chief executive of the charity, told the International Business Times.
There have always been rumors of gay royalty, even incestuous relationships, but there has never been an openly-homosexual British king.
The one-day-old Prince of Cambridge is third in line to the throne after his father Prince William and grandfather Prince Charles.
