A Minnesota burglar was discovered by police after he got caught in a pizza oven vent and yelled for help.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched around 11 a.m. on Oct. 18 after they received a call that someone was screaming for help inside a Cracker Barrel Pizza Store in Brandon Township, Michigan. When officers arrived, they discovered the alleged burglar trapped between the roof and floor of the oven’s vent pipe, reports M Live.
According to police, the man was on the roof of the building when he removed a vent cap and slid into the building via the pipe. When police found him, he had been stuck inside the pipe for more than 11 hours, reports Detroit Free Press.
Members of local fire departments helped free the man, who was arrested and then taken to a nearby hospital.
Although the man has not yet been charged, formal charges are pending.
In the past, the man has served time in prison for invading a home, breaking and entering and a drug conviction.
