A photo showing a radio DJ allegedly groping singer Taylor Swift was leaked, despite the fact that a judge ordered the photo be kept private.
The photo, taken at a meet-and-greet event in Denver in 2013, showed DJ David Mueller reaching his right arm behind Swift, in a questionably low position. His hand isn’t visible, but it looks to be directly on her rear end.
Mueller sued Swift for slander and accused her of getting him terminated from his job at a Colorado country music station.
In a countersuit, Swift said that Mueller “reached up under” her skirt and grabbed her behind while they were posing for a photo together.
Mueller blamed the assault on a co-worker and said he was falsely accused of the incident.
“As soon as he grabbed my a**, I became shocked and withdrawn and was barely able to say, "Thanks for coming," which is what I say to everybody,” Swift said in a deposition, Daily Mail reported.
“I was barely able to get words out, and it was like somebody switched the lights off in my personality. So it was pretty quick that he was gone after that.”
Swift explained that she didn’t tell her staff of the incident after it happened because she “just wanted him to be gone.”
“I didn't have one split second without a fan in front of me until that moment,” she sad. “And I didn't want people to find out about this. Anything that I say in front of fans could end up in the press, and I didn't want that.”
TMZ is reportedly responsible for leaking the photo; its readers were inclined to believe Swift’s claims.
“I believe her. The guy looks creepy and his hand is low at the posterior level,” one reader commented.
“If indeed that happened she should have slapped the crap out of him then and there,” another added.
“At the very least ....the position of his hand is inappropriate.......he knew what he was doing. He just wanted something to brag about [in] the locker room,” another TMZ reader stated.
