A Philadelphia mom has been arrested for assaulting an 11-year-old student who she thought was bullying her daughter.
Attifa Brown went to A.B. Anderson Elementary School in Cobbs Creek with her daughter, supposedly in an attempt to confront the bully. Brown denies hitting the child, but police say there is video evidence of the incident.
"I don't beat my own child, let alone somebody else's," Brown said.
Brown is facing a number of charges, including terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and defiant trespass, NBC Philadelphia reported.
"The problem here is that we have a 26-year-old mother who has no reason to approach an 11-year-old child, so her credibility as far as I'm concerned is shot," said Lt. John Walker of the Philadelphia Police Department.
Brown allegedly attacked the daughter of Bobby Webster. She claims that her child is not a bully and was not happy with what she saw on the tape. "The tape showed this lady over my daughter for minutes, poking her in the face, pulling her hair and beating her," Webster said.
