Pennsylvania Woman: Donald Duck Molested Me

Disneyworld certainly wasn't the "Happiest Place on Earth" for a Pennsylvania woman -- she claims Donald Duck molested her. Now she is suing Disney for negligence.

April Magolon was visiting Epcot Center in Florida in May 2008 when she asked an employee dressed as Donald Duck for an autograph. She said Donald grabbed her breast and molested her.

After the alleged groping, Donald Duck made gestures with his hands "indicating he had done something wrong,” according to a lawsuit filed last month.

According to Magolon’s complaint, she has suffered “severe physical injury, emotional anguish and distress including, but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder” as a result of the run-in with Donald Duck. She said those physical ailments include anxiety, headaches, nausea, cold sweats, insomnia, nightmares, flashbacks and digestive problems.

Magolon is suing Disney for negligence, battery, and infliction of emotional distress, and is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages.

The lawsuit claims this is not the first groping incident involving Disney characters. The suit cites a 2004 case in which a Disney employee dressed as Tigger was accused of inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl and her mother.

A jury acquitted the man after his attorney donned the Tigger suit in court to show how hard it is to see and how little workers can feel with their hands while wearing the over-sized mittens.
