Anthony Fox, a 26-year-old man, was arrested in Pennsylvania on Saturday for various drug offenses. While waiting handcuffed in the back seat of a police cruiser, he somehow managed to undo his seat buckle, hop into the driver’s seat, and speed away.
Though the chase began at the scene of the arrest in Nancy Glo, officers caught up to Fox when he crashed the vehicle into an apartment building in nearby Jackson Township.
Dana Sherman, a resident of the Jackson Township apartment complex, says “there was a guy in handcuffs running up our steps and he put his body against the door and the guy was screaming, 'Let me in, let me in.’” She adds that this “kind of stuff just doesn’t happen here. We're a nice, peaceful, quiet neighborhood.”
According to Inquisitr, Fox was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center by police to have blood tests done. He was then arrested again, under closer watch this time, and was transported to Cambria County Prison.
Fox is currently incarcerated, facing charges “possession of paraphernalia, driving under the influence, theft, and escape from police,” reports the NY Daily Mail.
