A 22-year-old Pennsylvania man who had sex with a 14-year-old girl and drank blood in a vampire role-playing game has been sentenced to probation.
Jonathan Davis was convicted of having sex with a 14-year-old girl in a church stairwell, as well as slicing the wrists of three teens and drinking their blood, when he was 20 years old.
According to police, Davis became the leader of a "cultlike" group, which involved three teens and several adults, in 2014. He told investigators that after drinking the blood of the juveniles, he would tell them he was their "dad" and that they were his "bio-children," WPXI reports. Davis said that the role playing was based on an online fantasy game.
Despite calls from prosecutors to imprison Davis, Westmoreland County Judge Richard McCormick Jr. sentenced him to 10 years of probation. He must spend the first two years of his probation confined to his home.
Assistant District Attorney Chris Flanigan called for Davis to be sent to prison for at least two years. Davis had previously been convicted for impregnating a 12-year-old, for which he was sentenced to probation. Flanigan said Davis' first probation sentence didn't teach him anything and that he should be sent to prison.
McCormick said the sentence "will meet the requirements of punishment, rehabilitation and the protection of the community."
"I'm sorry for everything, all the pain and suffering I had everyone go through in this case," Davis said in court.
During his probation, Davis is prohibited from using the internet for recreational purposes, drinking alcohol, viewing pornography, and going to bars or clubs. He is also not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors.
