A woman in the U.K. who once sliced off part of her skin with a scalpel and sent it to her ex-boyfriend recently cut off one of her fingers and posted the result to Facebook.
Torz Reynolds, 30, took bolt cutters to the pinky finger on her left hand because she "wanted to," according to the Daily Mail.
She later posted a graphic image of her mutilated hand to Facebook, indicating she is satisfied with the way it looks.
"Healing so well and totally love it!" she wrote.
After receiving criticism from her fellow Facebook users, who called her act "crazy" and "disgusting," Reynolds fired off a message in which she justified her decision to cut away the finger.
"I do these things for myself," she wrote. "It's not hurting ANYBODY else. I chose to document them on Facebook because I want to share the experience with my friends."
She added, "All reactions to my life choices are valid ... but remember they are only valid to you."
Reynolds first made headlines in 2014, when she used a scalpel to cut off a tattoo of her ex-boyfriend's name and then sent the patch of skin to him in the mail.
Her boyfriend of two years, Stuart "Chopper" May, had recently left her for another woman, and Reynolds was looking for a way to get back at him.
After cutting a tattoo from her arm that said "Chopper's Bitch," Reynolds put the strip of skin in a jar, wrapped it up and sent it to May's home.
"I packaged it up so it really did look like a present," she told the Daily Star. "I even used different handwriting so he'd have no idea that it was me. I can't imagine what his reaction was. I wish I could have been there to see it."
"Posting the tattoo to Chopper sent a clear message," she added. "Now he knows never to mess with me again."
