Dog Says Goodbye To Dying Owner (Video)

The heartbreaking moment in which a dog says her final goodbye to her owner in the hospital was caught on film (video below).

Ryan Jessen, 33, was hospitalized in November after he thought he was having a migraine, but actually had a ventricular brain hemorrhage, according to the Daily Mail.

When it looked like he wasn't going to make it, Ryan's family and friends gathered in his hospital room to say their goodbyes on Nov. 30.

In a Facebook post from Ryan's sister, Michelle Jessen, she explained that the hospital staff allowed her brother's dog, Mollie, to be brought into the room to say goodbye. The family captured the heartbreaking moment on film.

"The hospital did the sweetest thing for us and allowed us to bring my brother's dog in to 'say goodbye' so she'd know why her human never came home," Michelle wrote in the Facebook post. "If you knew my brother, he really loved his sweet dog."

The touching video quickly went viral after Michelle uploaded it to Facebook. The video has received more than 173,000 likes and has been shared over 90,000 times.

Thousands of people commented on the video to express their support for the family during the difficult time.

"Prayers and lots of love and respect for this loving family...and for how they treated his dog like a part of the family," one user commented. "God bless you always."

In her post, Michelle explained what happened to her brother and thanked everybody who commented:

So many people have asked - He thought he had a migraine, but it was a ventricular brain hemorrhage. They think it was brought on by high blood pressure, and there's speculation that his frequent consumption of energy drinks may have contributed. THANK YOU to everybody for the outpouring of support, but I won't be responding anymore. We are sincerely touched and humbled by others' stories, their sharing in our sadness and the kindness of so many people. Don't worry about the dog! We're keeping her!!! She's part of the family.
