Did Obama Reveal Sex of Beyonce's Twins? (Video)

While congratulating Jay Z on becoming the first hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, former President Barack Obama may have accidentally revealed his friend's secret (video below).

After announcing their pregnancy in February, Beyonce and Jay Z have kept silent about the gender of the  twins they're expecting -- but it looks like Obama might have let the cat out of the bag, reports USA Today.

"Jay and I are also fools for our daughters," said Obama while talking about their similarities in the video. "Although, he's gonna have me beat once those two twins show up."

The words sent the internet -- already speculating Beyonce may have given birth -- into a frenzy.

Many wondered if Beyonce was indeed pregnant with twin girls.

"There's a lot of ways to interpret that, but we're pretty sure the Beyhive's running with ... Blue Ivy's getting baby sisters!" says TMZ. "Also, did Obama just put to rest all the rumors Bey's already had the twins? Again. Possibly."

Sources told ET Online that Obama doesn't know the gender of the twins. Instead, they say Obama was simply referring to both fathers' current daughters.

But that's not all Obama's video -- possibly -- revealed about Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.

The clip also illustrates the depth of their friendship, as Obama highlighted other similarities between the two.

“I like to think Mr. Carter and I understand each other," Obama said. "Nobody who met us as younger men would have expected us to be where we are today. We know what it’s like not to have a father around, we know what it’s like not to come from much, and to know people who didn’t get the same breaks that we did. So we try to prop open those doors of opportunity so that it’s a little easier for those who come up behind us to succeed as well."

Obama also gushed about how much he has always loved Jay Z's music.

"I’ve been listening to Jay since I was a young and hungry state senator," he said. "I sampled his lyrics to close my speech at Selma. I tweeted a reference to 'My First Song' as I was putting my finishing touches on my final State of the Union address. I had to brush some dirt off my shoulders during a campaign. So I’m pretty sure I’m still the only president to listen to Jay Z’s music in the Oval Office. That may change at some point but I’m pretty sure that’s true now."
