Obama, Black Lives Matter Blamed For Chicago Torture (Video)

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich, conservative commentator Glenn Beck and others are trying put some blame on President Barack Obama and the Black Lives Matter movement for the recent torture of a white mentally disabled man by some unidentified black suspects in Chicago (video below).

Gingrich, who is an adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, was asked about the assault on Fox News on Jan. 5. Gingrich responded by saying that Obama and former Attorney General Eric Holder had somehow contributed to a rise in racial tension:

I think that there has been a dramatic rise in racial tension under President Obama and under the former Attorney General. I think a lot of their language, a lot of their approach heightened that sense of racial tension. And I think we have to oppose white racism, we also have to oppose black racism.

And I think if this had been done to an African-American by four whites, every liberal in the country would be outraged and there would be no question that it’s a hate crime.

Gingrich did not provide any evidence that Obama's or Holder's language or approach increased racial tensions.

Meanwhile, Beck went after Black Lives Matter in a tweet on Jan. 4: "You are right. Stand up with me and demand justice in Chicago for the beating of a disabled trump supporter by BLM."

Beck did not provide evidence that Black Lives Matter is behind the attack.

Conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham demanded Obama condemn the attack on Jan. 4: "Will [the president] denounce the beating of a white disabled man by black youth while they screamed 'f--- Trump' & 'f--- white ppl?'" notes that several Twitter users responded with racial attacks against Obama:

Disgusting! Why can't Trump sworn in right NOW? He would put this nonsense to an end!!!

Never, ever. Obama thinks the white man is "the problem" and likely did something to deserve the beating.

of course he won't he is the cause of all this black violence worst during his presidency!

you'll never hear "that could've been my son in Chicago" he's only interested in demonizing white ppl.
