An unidentified man tried to shoot his way through a door inside a New York City apartment building on Nov. 17, but was unsuccessful.
According to the Gothamist, the NYPD has released a surveillance video (below) of the incident in hopes of tracking the man down.
Police say that the man entered the apartment building, ran up to the second floor and fired his gun at the door.
However, the door withstood the gunshot, so the man tried using his shoulder in another failed effort.
The New York Post reports that no one on the other side of the door was injured.
After failing to open the door, the man quickly fled down the stairs.
The NYPD is hoping someone recognized the door shooter, who is described by the police as 5'10" and 170 pounds.
The NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline is 800-577-TIPS.
