NIU Shooting Victim Harold Ng

On the morning of February 12, 2008, a lone gunman named Steve Kazmierczak entered a lecture a hall at Northern Illinois University and opened fire, killing six people and wounding eighteen, before killing himself.

The NIU shooting was the latest in a tragic string of shootings on college campuses, most prominently including the tragic Virgina Tech shootings, that prompted widespread questions about the safety of college campuses and the best way to ensure such tragedies don't occur again.

In this video, the Chicago Tribune interviews Harold Ng, a student who was wounded during the shooting.
