In September, a man who is believed to be in his mid-20s allegedly choked and bit a 17-year-old girl in Bronx, New York, and now police are hoping the public can help them to apprehend him.
Police said the man waited for the victim to come out of a bar on Sept. 8, according to NBC New York. He then grabbed her, and she attempted to move away unsuccessfully.
The man allegedly led the teen into a shadowy area of the sidewalk, then choked her and bit her pelvic area before fleeing the scene, PIX11 reported.
The assault was caught on surveillance video, which police released on Dec. 2 in a bid to apprehend the suspect.
The teenage victim was treated at a local hospital and then released.
The suspect is described as a thin, light-skinned, 5-foot-6 Hispanic man in his mid-20s. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a yellow shirt and a backwards white hat.
