ISIS Urges Its Members To Kill 'Disbelievers' In U.S. And Other Countries

A new message recorded by members of the Islamic State and posted to social media sites Sunday urges members of the militant group to attack and kill civilians in countries that oppose them.

"If you can kill a disbelieving American or European, especially the spiteful and filthy French, or an Australian, or a Canadian or any other disbeliever, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be,” the speaker in the audio recording is quoted as saying by ABC News

The speaker is reported by Australian news site to be Islamic State spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani.

In the recording al-Adnani urges followers of the group sometimes referred to as ISIS or ISIL to attack civilians in countries that are members of an international coalition determined to put an end to the group’s insurgency in Syria and Iraq.

That coalition, led in part by U.S. President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, has already begun conducting airstrikes against the group in Iraq.

Al-Adnani specifically targeted both Obama and Kerry in his remarks.

“Obama, the mule of the Jews, suddenly became a sheikh, mufti, and an Islamic preacher, warning the people and preaching in defense of Islam, claiming that the Islamic State has nothing to do with Islam,” he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail, seemingly angered by the U.S. president’s recent announcement that more than 40 countries would join the fight against the militant group.

Kerry’s recent remarks before the House Foreign Affairs Committee also angered al-Adnani, who took exception to the Secretary of State’s recent assertions that ISIS was “not a state” and “did not represent Islam.”

“The uncircumcised old geezer, suddenly became an Islamic jurist, issuing a verdict to the people that the Islamic State was distorting Islam, that what it was doing was against Islamic teachings, and that the Islamic State was an enemy of Islam,” the Islamic State spokesman said of Kerry.

Airstrikes against the Islamic State in Syria have been authorized by Obama but have not yet begun. The president also signed a bill that allows for the arming and training of moderate Syrian rebels to fight against the more militant Islamic State.
