Officer Jason Miller was recently arrested for allegedly unzipping his pants and exposing his genitals to male motorists on at least five different occasions.
Miller, who is employed in Newton, N.J., as a police officer, was suspended from his job without pay.
He surrendered at the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office on Monday and was charged with "two counts of second-degree official misconduct, one count of third-degree pattern of official misconduct and the disorderly persons offense of lewdness," reports the New Jersey Herald.
The Newton Police Department began an investigation when it received an anonymous email tip on Oct. 23 and another tip on Oct. 24.
According to NJ.com, Newton police began reviewing video recordings from patrol cars and interviewing possible victims.
The Newton Police Department and the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office said in a joint statement: "The allegations against Jason Miller represent a grave abuse of authority for which there is absolutely zero tolerance."
Anthony Iacullo, who is Miller's lawyer, said that the officer “vehemently denies these allegations.”
Miller is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 26.
