National Enquirer Puts Dead Whitney Houston Photo on Cover

If you've ever wondered how low the National Enquirer can go, we have likely seen its nadir -- the latest issue of the trashy tabloid features a photo of the deceased Whitney Houston in her casket.

It's not clear exactly how the magazine got the photo; there was no public viewing of her body, so either a photographer somehow snuck in or perhaps a family member, close friend or funeral home employee provided it, which would seem unlikely.

Of course using pictures of dead famous people is nothing new -- a photo of John Lennon lying in his casket was splashed on the front page of the New York Post back in 1980 and more recently, The New York Times published a photo of Moammar Khadafy's bloodied and battered corpse.
