NAACP Image Awards 2012 Nomination List

Nominees for The 43RD NAACP Image Awards were announced on Thursday (Jan. 19). The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of film, television, music and literature and honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.

The film adaptation of Kathryn Stockett’s best-selling novel “The Help” leads the pack with eight nominations.

The winners of the prestigious awards will be announced during a live telecast on NBC Friday, February 17 beginning at 8 PM.
