A teacher at Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole, Massachusetts, has been accused of raping an 8-year-old boy in his garage apartment on July 10.
John Williamson, 50, teaches in the school’s Plant, Environmental and Machinery Department, WHDH reported. He met the victim’s mother through school, and Williamson moved into the garage apartment following the death of the woman’s husband in 2009.
When the victim’s mother heard the 8-year-old swear, she asked him where she learned that word.
"I’m not supposed to tell you, I’ll be in big trouble," he replied, according to court documents. "John told me not to tell you.”
The boy later told his mother the graphic details of the sexual assault, alleging Williamson raped him five times in one day, My Fox Boston reported. The mother then called the police and, following an investigation, Williamson was arrested on Friday and charged with indecent assault and battery on a child with two counts of rape.
Williamson’s former students were stunned.
"[Williamson's] always helped me out, he does so much for the students here, he does so much for everybody and it's sad to see your friend walk away in handcuffs," Lianna Sansone told WHDH.
A judge set his bail at $10,000 cash, with the condition that he must be placed on GPS monitoring and cannot have conduct with anyone under the age of 17.
He is due back in court next month.
