An intruder was recently caught sitting in a Georgia condo while the residents slept.

Police are trying to make sense of the creepy incident, reports the Daily Mail.

It happened at 6 a.m. on Oct. 5 at the Ridge Creek Condos in Dekalb County, according to local station WAGA.

"I woke up to my daughter screaming ... she screamed there was a man in her room," explained Leona Word.

The stranger allegedly entered the house through a window and sat in the bedroom of Word's 22-year-old daughter, telling her to "go back to sleep" when she woke up.

Police say that the man just sat on the floor with his back to her.

"Once he saw her moving I guess is when he went to kind of stand up," Word told WGCL. "He kind of shielded himself and he's telling her, 'Lay down, lay down.'"

She reportedly asked the stranger: "You had your pants down, what was your intent? What did you come in here for? Why were you here? Who are you?"

According to authorities, the strange man is said to have an accent and a "twist" in his hair. It is assumed no lights were turned on during the confrontation, as it was reportedly too dark for the daughter to get a good description of him.

"He invaded our space and our privacy and made us feel victimized," Word concluded. "I'm going to apply for my carry with a concealed weapon's license and purchase my own gun."

The suspect, who remains at large, is wanted only on a trespassing charge because he didn't touch Word's daughter and because there is no official motive, despite allegedly having his pants down.

Whether or not the man actually exposed himself was not reported.

Psychology Today defines exhibitionistic disorder as "exposing one's genitals or sexual organs to a non-consenting person."

There are subtypes of this disorder, depending on the age of the non-consenting person that the exhibitionist prefers. The preference can be children, adults, or both.

The disorder is believed to afflict 2 to 4 percent of the male population, and is less common in females.

In males, suspected causes of the disorder include antisocial personality disorder, alcohol abuse, and an interest in pedophilia. Other possible factors are sexual and emotional abuse during childhood.

As for the mystery man who invaded Word's condo, anyone with information is urged to call DeKalb County Police.
