A mistress reportedly sued her former lover for not leaving his wife to be with her.

James Greenwald, an 88-year-old retired media executive, was hit with the $2 million lawsuit from Theodora Corsell, his 67-year-old ex-mistress. Corsell, according to reports, is seeking six years of unpaid “services” as well as compensation for Greenwald refusing to leave his wife, Marilee Greenwald.

Corsell stated: “According to Greenwald, [his wife] Marilee told him, ‘I will see them bury you six feet under before I grant you a divorce. I’m the last Mrs. Greenwald.’”

Greenwald, former head of advertising company Katz Communications, was involved with Corsell for six years, both professionally and romantically, while still living with his wife in New York. During their relationship, Corsell reportedly assisted Greenwald on matters such as getting rid of unused New York Giants tickets and handling a threat from another mistress who threatened to 'out' him to his wife.

“I owe you everything and I will compensate you,” Greenwald allegedly told her at the time of their involvement. He also promised to include her in his will and indicated that he would leave his wife.

The former executive’s attorney, Steven Mintz, said that his client “remains happily married to his wife” and dismissed the suit as a “shameless shakedown.”

“She's not entitled to any money,” Mintz said.
