A decomposing body found in a trash can in Lake Worth, Florida, has been identified as Tyler Etue, 25, of Medford Lakes, New Jersey.
According to the medical examiner, the cause of death is a homicide, reports WPBF.
Etue, missing since July 31, was last seen when his friends dropped him off at Lake Worth Square, a regular place for him to spend time.
The last time anyone heard from Etue was via a Facebook post he made that read, “Help me, help me.” Etue did not text anyone after the message was posted.
Etue had been struggling with drug addiction to Flakka, a drug similar to bath salts, and was in Florida attending a rehab program after relapsing. He was released from the program in late July and told his girlfriend, Anna Anderson, via text message that he wanted her to accompany him to New Jersey to sort some things out, and then they would come back to Florida to start a new life together with their unborn baby daughter.
Etue and Anderson were expecting a baby girl, reports NJ.com.
The homicide case is under investigation.
