A 16-month-old girl who was reported missing was discovered in safe condition in Minnesota on Sunday.

Investigators discovered the girl at the Birch Lakes State Campground in Melrose, Minnesota, after a visitor noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle with Idaho license plates, My Fox Twin Cities reported. Apparently, the vehicle was covered in tarps.

The visitor then found and read an article about the missing girl and also discovered descriptions of the kidnappers that matched the suspicious campers.

When the camper reported the suspicious activity to police, the Stearns County sheriff’s office located an active arrest warrant for Joshua Michael Oquendo, 28, who was wanted for second-degree kidnapping and child custody interference, according to KSTP News.

The missing toddler was located with the help of Melrose, Sauk Centre and Todd County police. The Minnesota State Patrol was also called in for help. Deputies then informed Idaho police of the discovery.

Oquendo was arrested on his warrant along with his fellow campers. The other campers -- Samantha Landuaer, 49, Jon Newman, 54, Travis Adams, 20, and Jorja Fouch, 18 -- were charged with aiding an offender.

An investigation into the kidnapping is ongoing with the help of Pocatello, Idaho, police.
