A 55-year-old Mexican man was recently arrested off the coast of San Diego after he allegedly tried to swim to the U.S. by floating on a giant duffle bag of marijuana.
The unidentified man was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol Agents on Sept. 19 after he was seen by authorities at about 600 yards from shore.
His duffle bag, which doubled as a flotation device, had more than $23,000 in illegal drugs, claims the U.S. Border Patrol.
Inside the bag, seven bundles of marijuana weighing more than 50 pounds were found, notes NBC San Diego.
