A woman was shocked to discover that her car had been stolen on Tuesday morning, and did not expect to see it returned anytime soon.
Virginia Maiden luckily managed to get a ride to work that day. She was working the drive-thru at McDonald's, and soon found her stolen 1995 Toyota 4-Runner when the thief came to get some food.
Maiden, of Kennewick, Wash., reported the theft earlier that morning, telling police she had left it unlocked.
When she saw the thief drive her car into the McDonald's, she called police again, and they stopped 22-year-old Katherine A. York before she even left the parking lot.
There was also a male passenger in the car, but he was found to have no connection to the theft.
It seems York was on a stealing spree, as authorities also found a large amount of clothing with security tags still on them, mostly from JC Penney and Sears.
Maiden now has her car back and has likely learned to start locking it before she goes to bed.
