The low ratings continue to pour in for McDonald’s. Just a few weeks after McDonald’s was rated one of the least enjoyable fast-food restaurants in the country, it's now been rated one of the worst burger destinations as well.
Consumer Reports recently separated fast food restaurants into categories based on their cuisine type, and asked consumers to review the restaurants in each category. There is a category for burgers, chicken, sandwiches and subs, and burritos.
Unfortunately for Ronald McDonald and co., McDonald’s burgers finished dead last in their group. The top-rated burger joint was The Habit Burger Grill, followed by In-N-Out Burger. Chick-fil-A was rated the top chicken spot, Portillo’s Hot Dogs won the top sandwich spot and Chipotle was rated the best Burrito destination.

In the survey, participants were asked to rate each place they’d eaten at on a scale of 1 (least enjoyable) to 10 (most delicious food they’ve ever had). Readers will probably notice that three of America’s most iconic fast-food restaurants – McDonald’s, KFC and Taco Bell – finished last in their respective groups.
As Consumer Reports notes, many Americans report they now prefer fast-casual restaurants like Chipotle and Panera to traditional drive-through fast-food destinations like Burger King and Taco Bell.
