A man did his best to ruin Christmas for a group of kids waiting in line to visit with Santa Claus at a Texas mall (video below).
On Dec. 11, David Grisham filmed himself at a mall in Amarillo, Texas, yelling “Santa isn’t real” to the children and their parents who were gathered there for the seasonal ritual of sitting on Santa’s lap and telling him what they want for Christmas.
Grisham, who is associated with Last Frontier Evangelism in Alaska, had previously uploaded video of himself similarly harassing Santa visitors at a mall in Arlington, Texas, and plans to do the same thing in malls all over the state, reports the Daily Mail. Why he chose Texas was not revealed.
In the Amarillo video, Grisham is seen at the end of the Santa line, yelling at the crowd that was gathered there. His rant provided his opinion on Santa:
The Christmas season is about Jesus. Jesus was born 2016 years ago. He was born in a manger in a small town called Bethlehem. That is the truth about Christmas. The man you're going to see today is just a man in a suit dressed up like Santa but Santa doesn't exist, Santa is not real ... Do not lie to your children and tell them there is such a thing as Santa when you know in reality that there are no flying reindeer, there is no workshop at the North Pole, there is no elves making toys, that you buy all the gifts and put them under the tree. That's the truth and there is no real Santa Claus.
Eventually, a few of the parents confront Grisham and tell him to leave, but the pastor stands his ground, warning them not to touch him, then telling them to “have a nice day.”
On the Facebook page for Last Frontier Evangelism, Grisham posted his mission: “To take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Last Frontier (Alaska). Through street evangelism, street preaching & teaching calling on the lost to repent.” But apparently the Last Frontier extends beyond Alaska.
