Man Sexually Abuses Daughter, Stepdaughter, Chickens, Dog - Gets Unexpected Sentence From Judge

A man who sexually abused his 3-year-old daughter, 9-year-old stepdaughter, the family dog and chickens received a prison sentence of less than three years.

The man confessed to authorities and pleaded guilty to two counts of bestiality, one aggravated count of assault and one count of sexual exploitation of a child, the Daily Mail reported.

The man mostly abused his stepdaughter, who was between ages 9 and 11 at the time, ABC reported. He would abuse her while she slept.

He also confessed to abusing his 3-year-old daughter, the family dog and committing penetrative sex acts with chickens. The 27-year-old man's name was not released.

The court heard about how the man was a victim of abuse himself as a child. He would also engage in sex acts with dogs during his childhood.

A psychologist's report determined that the man had "distorted attitudes” and started feeling “aroused by the wrongfulness of his sexual [behavior].”

The man had sent a letter to his then-wife confessing to the sexual abuse. The woman then called the police.

“My beautiful, innocent children certainly never, ever deserved such terrible violations of their bodies and hearts,” the mother said in a victim impact statement.

The man was sentenced to six years and seven months in prison, but was given a non-parole period for 3 1/2 years after reductions for a full confession. This means he could be out of prison in less than three years.

“You abused and betrayed in the most serious way possible your position as father of the children to satisfy your abnormal sexual desires,” District Court Judge Paul Muscat said in court.

“You know you must now pay the price.”

Judge Muscat went on to call the crimes “unnatural,” “gross” and “disturbing.” He added that the sentence was given as a result of the man’s confession, remorse and motivation to seek help.

“Offenders should be encouraged to come clean and accept their criminal actions,” Judge Muscat added.

The man is banned from seeing or contacting his family. He will also receive treatment to suppress his urges.
