Gary Drake, 61, allegedly pulled his shotgun on a neighbor who was teaching his 7-year-old daughter how to ride a bicycle in a Rosemount, Minnesota neighborhood on May 25.
Drake was charged with second-degree assault and terroristic threats after the alleged incident last week (video below).
Drake apparently did not like the way the dad was teaching the child to ride a bike and started giving him some unsolicited advice.
The father recalled to My Fox Twin Cities that he told Drake, "I've got it."
Drake reportedly replied, "If you don't like my advice, get off the street."
According to court papers, the dad told Drake that he did not own the street. Drake became angry, went inside his house and returned outside with a Remington 870 shotgun and threatened to kill the dad.
Drake’s wife came outside and grabbed the gun away from her husband, whom she dragged inside. However, Drake went outside again and allegedly told the dad he was going to kill him, reports BringMeTheNews.com.
The police were called and Drake was arrested, but reportedly told the cops, "Maybe next time. I should have shot him."
Drake admitted to drinking that day, but denied that the booze influenced him.
