A Miami, Florida, man and his girlfriend reportedly attacked his grandmother after she refused to drive them to a place where they could have sex.
Police reports stated that Michael Rubio and his girlfriend Jacquelyn Carrasquillo were arguing with the grandmother because she would not take them to a nearby home so they could have sex, WPLG reported. She instead stopped her car, got out and began to walk home.
The couple then allegedly got out of the car and hit the woman multiple times, causing lacerations to her face. They also threw her on the ground. The woman ran towards her home and the couple drove away.
Authorities later arrested the couple on charges of battery to a person 65 or older, and police brought them to a nearby correctional center.
In a similar incident, an 86-year-old woman was recovering after her great-grandson attacked her.
“Why he did something like this as much as she loved for him and did for him,” the woman’s daughter, Evelyn Hardy, told WTHR. “I just can't comprehend someone doing this to someone yet alone your great grandma."
Police arrested Zachary Emswiller for attempted murder in the attack on his great-grandmother.
“When the ambulance arrived they immediately heard screaming from inside, so they immediately backed away and called law enforcement as their procedure,” Bloomington Police Department Capt. Steven Kellams said.
