A 29-year-old father from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, has been arrested and charged with murder after police say he killed his 3-month-old daughter, Alivia Scott.
Matthew Anthony Scott was reportedly in charge of watching the infant when a call was made to the police and fire departments on Feb. 5, leading investigators to find the baby unconscious at her home in Ohio, reports the Daily Mail.
Alivia was reportedly transported to Akron Children's Hospital, where it was determined she was injured as a result of an assault.
She reportedly died at the hospital on February 16.
Jaclyn McCormick, the fiance of Alivia's grandfather, reportedly told 19 Action News that three-fourths of the infant's skull had been fractured.
Scott faces a murder charge and one charge each for felonious assault and child endangering. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
The suspect reportedly has several misdemeanor convictions for criminal trespassing, possessing a marijuana smoking pipe, theft, and possessing marijuana, reports Cleveland.com.
