Man Shocked When He Opens Playstation 4 Present To Find An Unlikely Surprise

If you've been naughty this year, Santa usually gives you a lump of coal. Walmart gave a Denver man two bags full of rocks.

Igor Baksht was about to wrap his Christmas present for his 13-year-old niece but when he opened the PlayStation 4 box to make sure “everything was inside,” he quickly realized that he was duped.

“When I opened it, I said, ‘Oh my God,’” Baksht told KMGH-TV.

There was no PlayStation 4 inside the box at all. Instead, there were two large plastic bags filled with rocks and covered in duct tape.

Baksht tried to return the bag of rocks to the Stapleton Walmart where he got it from but it was closed. He then tried a 24-hour Walmart but they told him he needed to go to the store he originally bought the item from.

On Saturday morning, Baksht returned to the Stapleton Walmart and was told that they couldn’t do anything for him.

“He said they cannot do anything about it because they don’t have proof, how it came in, nothing,” Baksht said. He even tried calling the corporate office to no avail.

“I never stole anything in my life,” Baksht added. “The most criminal thing that I’ve did, I got a driving ticket.”

Baksht said that when he got the PlayStation 4, a store employee told him that it was a previously returned item and that it indeed felt a bit heavy.

According to 7NEWS, this is not the first time customers have received a disappointing surprise from an electronics purchase. In 2012, an Alabama boy found a box of rocks in his Nintendo 3DS. Several people in the past two years reported finding notebooks inside their iPad boxes.

Luckily for Baksht, the store manager decided to give him his money back on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. The value of the PlayStation 4 bundle was between $539 and $549.

Baksht told KMGH that he has some advice for fellow shoppers. He said to check the contents of your purchase - you might end up giving someone a box full of rocks for Christmas.
