Man Breaks Into Home, Doesn't Realize Woman Inside Has A 'Secret Obsession' Until It's Too Late

A home intruder learned a hard lesson when he broke into the home of a woman he did not want to mess with.

Karen Dolley, 43, heard a man’s voice coming from her living room when she was in bed Thursday night.

Jacob Wessel, 30, said he was running from someone and picked a random house to hide from the person allegedly after him. Little did he know, he picked the wrong house - Dolley had a secret more terrifying than the situation he was trying to escape.

Dolley, who lives alone, ran into the hallway, where she found Wessel, who had no clue what he was in for. As it turns out, Dolley is trained in medieval combat and owns a sword.

When she came across the man, she sprung into action, punching him over 10 times. She then grabbed the first weapon she could find - a Japanese ninja sword. She pinned Wessel to the ground and cornered him with the sword against his chest, holding him there until police showed up.

Dolley didn’t cut Wessel, but her sword was freshly sharpened, so one wrong move could’ve meant bad news for the intruder.

Wessel was arrested and charged with residential entry. According to The Associated Press, he appeared to be high on an unknown substance.

“At the end of the day, I’m glad to know that even if I wake up in the middle of the night, I’m not going down without a fight,” Dolley told The Star.
