Tieren Watson, 26, was named as a possibly armed-and-dangerous suspect following a shooting on June 13 in Benton, Arkansas, which left one woman in serious condition.
Watson was caught the following Tuesday by the Benton Police Department, U.S. Marshals and the Little Rock Police Department. At the time of his arrest, he was wearing a shirt that read, in all capital letters, "You can run, but you can't hide.”
"That's what it said, and that's what he was wearing," Benton Police Department spokesman Lt. Kevin Russell told Arkansas Online. "And yeah, he was hiding out there. But thankfully to all the partners we worked with, we were able to apprehend him.”
Watson is being held in the Saline County jail on 10 counts, NBC News reported. According to court records, the charges include first-degree battery, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a minor, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Russell said his fashion choice was ironic “to say the least.”
According to police, Watson was in an argument when he started firing his gun and a stray bullet struck the woman. She was initially in critical condition, but her status has been upgraded to serous. Two minors were in the area at the time of the shooting.
