A man, identified by police as Earl Valentine, posted a Facebook Live video (below) on Sept. 6 in which he confessed to killing his ex-wife, Kiesha, who was critically injured in a shooting in Norlina, North Carolina.
According to Norlina Police Chief Taylor Bartholomew, Earl shot and killed his 15-year-old son in the early morning hours after kicking in the door of his ex-wife's home, notes WRAL.
"I just killed my motherf------ wife," the man says in the video. "I loved my wife, but she deserved what she had coming."
"And I don't feel no motherf------ remorse for what I did," the man adds.
The man did not mention shooting a son.
Police said the teen boy called 911 to say that his dad had tracked him and his mother down and shot them both, reports WWBT. The teen reportedly died minutes later.
Police believe that Earl may be headed to Richmond, Virginia, where Keisha has family members, or Columbia, South Carolina, where his mother lives.
"I’ve been in law enforcement 20 years and I hadn't seen anything like this," Bartholomew told WNCN. "This guy is bragging about what he did with social media."
Bartholomew said that he and Earl talked on the phone for about 10 minutes, but then Earl turned his phone off.
"He shot his own son," Bartholomew told the news station. "And for me and my guys, it’s hard for us to wrap our brain around that, hurting your own child like that. So, we’re pretty angry about it, and especially because the way he’s acting over it."
According to police, Keisha had moved herself and her son to Norlina to get away from Earl's abuse.
Keisha had a restraining order against Earl that expired in August.
Police say that Earl may be driving a black 2008 GMC Yukon.
