An unidentified 56-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the buttocks inside the Century 14 movie theater in Sparks, Nevada, on Tuesday night.
Police said that the gun, which the man had brought into the movie theeater, accidentally went off and wounded him in the rear, reports RGJ.com.
No one else was hurt in the theater, which was playing 'The Bourne Legacy.'
Sparks police Sgt. Pay Dyer said in a statement: “Witnesses inside the theater at the time the shot was fired stated that a (man) was adjusting himself in his seat when a gun he had on him discharged."
The man immediately got up, apologized and left the theater before police arrived, reports RGJ.com.
The man, who had a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon, was later found at a Reno, Nevada hospital where he was being treated for his wound.
He could still be charged with a crime,
