An unidentified man accidentally shot himself after setting his handgun on a toilet paper dispenser inside a Fazoli's restaurant bathroom in Elizabethtown, Ky.
Police Sgt. David Neary told The News-Enterprise the pistol fell off the toilet paper dispenser, accidentally fired and shot the gun owner, who had a concealed carry permit.
According to Sgt. Neary, the evidence, such as the bullet trajectory, supported the gun owner's story.
The man, who was shot in the leg, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Sunday, reports the Associated Press.
So far, no charges have been filed, but the incident is still being investigated.
In more gun news, CBS Philadelphia reports that a man claims he was followed and abducted on the street by suspects driving a van that was labeled “Soft Touch Cleaning Service."
The unidentified victim told police the suspects beat, robbed and shot him three times before dropping him off in Northeast Philadelphia.
“We know that at least six shots were fired from a large caliber semi-automatic handgun," stated Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small. "We found six shell casings on the highway right where the victim collapsed after being shot."
