Car Chase Hero Jessica Leismann Given New Vehicle After Hers Is Destroyed By Criminal (Video)

Jessica Leismann, the brave woman now known as “Mama Bear” since heroically taking down a car chase suspect this week, was surprised with a brand new car for her courageous act.

On Wednesday, the world watched as a car chase suspect slammed into Leismann’s car while evading police in traffic. Leismann, who was traveling with her boyfriend and her 13-year-old son, immediately jumped out of the car and beat the suspect down until police arrived to detain him.

At the time, Leismann told reporters that she, “didn’t even think” when she jumped out of the car to confront the suspect.

“I saw him come behind me and hit me,” Leismann said. “I turned around and asked my son, ‘Are you okay?’ and he was like ‘Yeah’ – so I jumped out the car and was like, ‘What the hell is wrong with you? You’re in a school zone. What are you thinking?’ He didn’t say anything.”

Leismann later revealed that she recently lost her 4-year-old son to epilepsy and was scared for the safety of her 13-year-old when the suspect came crashing into them.

Footage of Leismann’s heroic act and word of her incredible story went viral this week, and now, a local car dealership has given her a brand new car. Reports say that Leismann believed she was going to a KIA dealership to get a loaner, but when she arrived, she was surprised with a free new car.

“We’re going to donate a car and you’re going to tell me which one you want,” Bill Dickason of Southwest KIA told Leismann as she arrived.

“Oh my God, I’m shaking,” Leismann said as she received the incredible surprise. “Amazing. Amazing. It means the world to me. Like, literally everything. For all the generosity. I can’t believe it. I just can’t. It’s amazing.”

“Mama Bear” wound up deciding on a KIA Sedona van, and the amazing surprise was captured on camera. Check out the footage below.
