NBA legend Magic Johnson has reportedly said that after being a regular guest Trump Hotels, he will no longer stay at hotels built by President Donald Trump, because of political differences.

The former basketball star and businessman has spoken out against Trump, saying that although he has stayed at Trump Hotels for years while he was traveling, he will now seek other accommodations because he does not support Trump's actions as president, TMZ reports.

The former Los Angeles Laker supported Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election, and has said that Trump is "acting like a dictator."

In January, Johnson made comments indicating his opposition to Trump's executive order banning immigrants and refugees from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S., an order which has since been suspended by federal courts.

"It's wrong to discriminate against people, and we have a lot of great Muslim brothers and sisters who are here doing a wonderful job of being great Americans," said Johnson, according to The Hill.

The 57-year-old basketball star also spoke out against Trump's plan to build a wall on the southern border of the U.S. to prevent illegal border crossings from Mexico.

"It's not just them," he said, "[wanting] to send Latinos back home, and build a wall to keep people out. It's just not who we are as Americans. And our brothers and sisters who are Muslim, or who are Latino, and even a lot of times not taking us as African-Americans seriously, as well."

"I just first of all pray to God that something will click with him and he can get it or somebody can get in his Cabinet that can get to him, to talk to him, because this is not right," Johnson added.

"All these bans and things, it’s just not American-like. It’s not who we are as people," he said.
